Established in 2005 as a privately held investment company registered with the Egyptian Capital Markets Authority, with the mandate of promoting and managing Watheeqa’s business interests in Egypt.

The Company's role is to initiate, assess, manage and monitor business opportunities as they develop, including direct investment and joint venture projects across various sectors and investment types.

As of December 31, 2007 Watheeqa’s equity stake amounted to 75% and The Company’s total assets were approximately USD 2.22 million.
